Attack on Titan Season 4 is coming soon, but what did we learn about the upcoming season from the trailer 🎞?
The latest season of Attack on Titan finally gave fans some much-awaited answers regarding what Eren's father was hiding in the basement of their childhood home and where the Titans came from . But with these twists and turns new questions have emerged, and these will have to be addressed in the fourth and final season of the anime... To Be Continued!
If we are to believe the trailer that has just been released, the final episodes of Attack on Titan will be full of new information, as well as action worthy of a series finale! Here are eight things we learned from the Attack on Titan final season trailer.
8. There will be a timeskip in season 4
Watching the trailer for the fourth season of Attack on Titan, it seems obvious that there will be a time jump at some point in the upcoming season, if not from the beginning of the new season.
All the characters fans have come to know and love have aged in the trailer, with Reiner sporting a beard and Eren looking much older with a ponytail . Even Levi looks like he's aged a few years. Plot-wise, this means fans may have missed some major off-screen developments. We hope that we will have flashbacks ⚡ that will allow us to know what our characters have been doing between two stories.
7. New characters in season 4
The start of the trailer introduces a number of new faces, meaning fans will be meeting some new characters in the upcoming season. By the end of the series, it's surprising that the anime put so much emphasis on these new characters, especially when it has to supplement so many storylines surrounding the series' main cast ❓.
But given that the new characters look quite young, and our heroes are fighting for the fate of their world, it's quite possible that these newcomers are there to highlight the stakes. After all, they are the ones who will have to deal with the consequences of Eren and Sieg's war.
6. The Eldian people facing the rest of the world
The third season of Attack on Titan opened up the world of the anime with flashbacks of Eren's father 👓, but it looks like fans will open up the world even more in the fourth season, perhaps even going to Mahr, where Reiner and Sieg are from.
Technology is something viewers have rarely seen in this anime, but the trailer shows trains 🚆, boats 🚢 and planes ✈ , all new concepts for this series. It will be interesting to see how different things are among the Mahr people. But also to see whether or not our main characters can reach the same level of technology and understanding of the modern world before the end of the series.
5. Information on the antagonists
Thanks to the image emanating from the trailer, viewers will get a better look at Attack on Titan villains in the upcoming season, including Reiner and Sieg .
The trailer contains plenty of glimpses of Reiner, including a few flashbacks of his time with the other recruits. It seems like all that cognitive dissonance he's had about being a traitor might come to the forefront this season, as he seems to want to get out of the war, even if it costs him his life ❤. Fans are also likely to learn more about Sieg, the man behind the Beast Titan, and his motivations and past during the final season of SnK.
4. Armin appears to have mastered the Colossal Titan
There are some brief images of the Colossal Titan in the season four trailer, and we've known since the end of last season that Armin took over this role after Bertolt's death ☠ . From what fans have seen of Eren's journey to mastering his titan, it takes time and work, but Armin seems to be doing well judging by the image that offers us the trailer.
It's very possible that the time jump will be the period in which Armin learns to master his new Titan , but it will still be fun to see him in a new light! And with abilities that make him more powerful than most other characters to change from the somewhat physically weak character that we know, linked to his tactical intelligence, this character risks becoming even more interesting than he was. Already.
3. Annie Leonhart could make a return
Speaking of quick shots, the trailer also shows fans a glimpse of Annie Leonhart trapped in ice 🧊 where she was placed following the events of the first season. Her story was never quite resolved, but it looks like it might be a done deal this season.
The trailer shows Armin kneeling in front of the ice, an interesting choice since fans know these two had a strange respect for each other , even after realizing they were on opposite sides in this war. Could Armin free Annie? Could we see a team born between the Female Titan and the Survey Corps? Anything is possible at this point.
2. Chara Design by Mikasa
There's not much about Mikasa in this trailer, but fans get a glimpse of her future character design and she looks definitely different from the last time we saw her. Not only does she have a new haircut 👩🦱 (which indicates that she has literally gone into fighter mode), especially since she appears to have a whole new battle outfit.
This outfit matches what viewers see Connie and Sasha wearing in the trailer, although, curiously, Levi still wears the usual battalion uniform. Could this be a sign that an elite team is going to be formed? And do these uniforms give the characters more power over the Titans? Maybe Mahr isn't the only place using technology 🤖 to its advantage...
1. A season full of fights
If there's one thing that's clear from this trailer, it's clearly this: There will be plenty of action in the final season of Attack on Titan (for our viewing pleasure), and we hope that the anime will end satisfactorily, spoiling such a great work would be sacrilege 📖!
The trailer is enough to make us understand the level of action that the season is going to contain. Indeed, the trailer includes numerous combat sequences ⚔, which is not surprising given that it is the last season of the series .
Season four needs to bring the story to a close, one way or another. Whether it happens in favor of our heroes or not, the all-out war that we will witness during the last part of the anime will be decisive. It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious and if the characters we have been following can find a way to create a better world for future generations of the Eldian people 🪐.
