The best Anime

Manga, like anime, is now part of popular culture in almost every country in the world, and more precisely among children and young people 👦🏼 but also among many adults. There are few people who have never heard of Dragon Ball, Naruto or even One Piece . And as is the case with books, films, series and others, there are also in anime those licenses that most recognize as being classics or essentials. These are the most watched and appreciated manga adaptations by fans of the genre.

It must be recognized that in terms of manga and anime, the list is endless and it would be pretentious of us to base our opinion on which is the best anime, given the immensity of genres and adaptations. The objective of this article is therefore to quickly review the most well-known titles. 📺 This is also the reason why we will avoid talking about the same anime in two different lists.

The best-selling manga:

If, for 12 years from 2006 to the end of 2018, One Piece was the best-selling license in Japan (motherland of manga), this is no longer the case since 2019. Indeed, the famous young wacky pirate 🏴‍☠️ in the straw hat was dethroned by Kamado Tanjirō with the manga Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer (literally Demon Slayer 👿 ). According to official data provided by Oricon (unlike those published by Shueisha), this series sold just over 12 million volumes between November 2018 and November 2019 while One Piece sold only 10 million copies. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, even congratulated Demon Slayer's incredible performance through an official 📨 message published on the Oricon website.

Important point to also note: Demon Slayer has already surpassed its 2019 achievement in the first 8 weeks of 2020 with 12,882,297 copies sold. And this success is not about to stop given that when it was released in Japan on July 3, 2020, volume 21 of this manga sold more than 2 million copies in just three days . Since its publication until October 2020, the total circulation for Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer is 100 million 💲 copies and a total of 71 million physical copies have been sold. The franchise is on the verge of breaking several records.
