Top 10 couples in Naruto
Like many Shonen anime and manga, Naruto dabbles in romance from time to time. 💕 Romantic relationships aren't at all the focus of this growing franchise, but they appear quite frequently as the young ninjas grow and mature. While some relationships blossom over the course of Naruto, many of them are on full display in Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, as many of the original series' protagonists are now married and have children. 👨👩👧👦 Some of these relationships are brilliant and appreciated by the vast majority of fans, while others simply seem to exist in order to improve the image of certain protagonists of the Naruto saga.
It's no surprise that Naruto fans are so interested in the characters' romantic relationships . With its collection of well-defined and distinctive Shinobi, as well as its status as one of the biggest anime of the 2000s, fans were incredibly eager to learn about the intimacy of the different characters and finally get to know the different protagonists who would actually end up together . 💑 While some couples and relationships have added legitimacy to countless fanfics, others have disappointed fans and had little impact on the series. But with the large number of characters in Naruto and the many changing relationships throughout the series, it's normal for some of you to be disappointed with certain couples.
Just like the characters involved in these couples, each relationship in Naruto is unique. Some are fantastic while others tarnish the image of the series. Here is a TOP 10 of the best couples in Naruto!
Couple No. 10: Sakura and Sasuke
The relationship between Sakura and Sasuke represents a major presence in the series since they have been expected to become a couple since the beginning of the saga. Sakura's love at first sight for Sasuke quickly turns into a full-blown romance, which creates an interesting dynamic between the two, the Ninja and the Kunoïchi, although Sasuke abandons the village of Konoha and plots to destroy it. 💣 Sakura continued to believe in Sasuke . Throughout much of Naruto's story, Sakura struggles to reconcile her feelings for Sasuke, while Sasuke embarks on his justified revenge against the Village Hidden by the Tree Leaves, Konoha. Watching their relationship grow as the series goes on is one of the best parts and them starting a family is actually the icing on the cake for this couple. 🍒
Couple No. 9: Rock Lee and Tenten
Rock Lee and Tenten are two supporting characters in the Naruto saga. Rock Lee quickly became an indispensable character in the series and his fight against Gaara, during the Chunin Exams arc, is one of the best in the entire series. Tenten made a less good impression on fans of the series , but her handling of different combat weapons⚒️ earned her some attention. The real reason this relationship is so great is because this couple named their son Metal Lee . Boruto largely represents a certain finality to the series, but the fact that there is a child literally named Metal is pretty inconceivable and Lee and Tenten are responsible for it as his parents. 👨👩👦

Couple No. 8: Kakashi and Kahyo
In the Naruto companion novel, Kakashi Hiden: Lightning in the Frozen Sky, it is heavily implied that the copycat ninja, Kakashi and the criminal turned prison guard, Kahyo , have feelings for each other. As interesting as it may be for the Sensei, Kakashi, to obtain a romantic relationship , this pairing pales in comparison to the Naruto saga as a whole because it is very little explored. This romance does not appear outside of the novel Kakashi Hiden . 📚 After a difficult life, Kakashi deserves some kind of fulfilling relationship and it's a shame that it isn't given to him.
Couple #7: Shikamaru and Temari
Shikamaru and Temari are favorite characters of the Naruto fanbase, their relationship 👫 builds over the course of the series and culminates with their marriage and their son between the Naruto and Boruto saga. Although the two initially have a rivalry relationship, they come to appreciate the unique perspectives and points of view. Shikamaru allows Temari to step back and take life as it comes, while Temari motivates Shikamaru to try harder in his career as a Shinobi. 💪 The way Naruto subtly evokes their influence on each other and their budding feelings over the course of his long story is wonderful, and they are, in our opinion, one of the best couples in the series.
Couple No. 6: Minato and Kushina
Minato and Kushina only make a few appearances in the series and only appear together in flashbacks, 💡 but they remain one of the most beautiful couples in the entire franchise. The two fall in love at a young age and struggle together through their demanding positions within society. They unfortunately died in battle while protecting both their son Naruto and the hidden village of Konoha from a devastating attack by Kurama AKA the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox . 🦊 Their absences make Naruto's life considerably more difficult, and their brief appearances help him reaffirm his beliefs and self-confidence. They are nothing less than one of the most influential couples on the show, and one of the best too!
Couple No. 5: Tsunade and Dan
The relationship between Tsunade and Dan is one of the most tragic in Naruto. Dan leaves the series before he and Tsunade can make their dream come true! Their greatest dream was to establish a new medical division 💊 in the army of the Hidden Leaf Village, and this would turn into a source of overwhelming sorrow for Tsunade. Eventually, the two meet for a touching reunion during the Fourth Great Shinobi War, when Dan is revived. This is one of Naruto's most touching moments, 😭 and it will help Tsunade deal with her trauma. This pairing doesn't have a major impact on the series, but it helps establish the brutal nature of Naruto's world and further defines Tsunade's character.
Couple No. 4: Asuma and Kurenai
One of Naruto's most moving relationships comes from Konoha's Shinobi and Kunoichi, Asuma and Kurenai . The two characters have romantic feelings for each other throughout the saga and plan to get married, once Kurenai gives birth to Asuma's child 👶 . However, they will not succeed, as Asuma tragically falls into the hands of a terrifying Akatsuki member, Hidan during a mission. 🩸 This pairing gave the impression that the story of Naruto is terribly vast, and this inspired many cosplays , because Masahi Kishimoto created terribly complex relationships between the many shinobi. Even though it ended tragically, Kurenai and Asuma are one of the cutest couples in the entire series.
Couple #3: Boruto and Sarada
Boruto and Sarada are the main protagonists of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and have budding romantic feelings for each other. As the series continues and the two characters spend more and more time together, there are hints that their relationship may evolve into a couple stage, with both becoming more and more agitated relative to each other. Sure, it might be a cliché for the children of the main Naruto characters to end up together, but it's a good cliché that resonates with viewers. Even if the Boruto anime and manga are a little rough, this possible relationship improved the Boruto saga even more . 👌
Couple No. 2: Konan and Yahiko
Konan and Yahiko's relationship is like many romantic relationships in Naruto, subtle and tragic. The two develop feelings for each other while training, but they are unable to express them . In fact, the grief of Yahiko's passing pushes Konan to support their mutual friend, Nagato, in his plot to end the war ⚔️ by becoming the ultimate enemy of all humanity. This relationship is the backbone of Konan's character and his desire to protect and support his remaining childhood friend at all costs. This pairing improves Naruto 👫 as a whole because it adds depth to different characters and emphasizes conflicts between different generations and villages!
Couple No. 1: Naruto and Hinata
Naruto and Hinata are also one of the best couples in the long saga. Naruto inspired Hinata to overcome her difficult family situation and Hinata expanded Naruto's goals in life besides becoming the Hokage of Konoha. Their romance is explored greatly in the film The Last: Naruto the Movie, and in Boruto, the two are married and have two children. 👨👩👧👦 Their relationship is pretty standard as far as shonen romances go, but it's always nice to see two fan-favorite characters fall in love and end up happily together. It may be cathartic and cheesy, but these types of romances are often the best and that's why this pairing improves the Naruto and Boruto sagas so much ! 👍
